rough idea for a final piece

イメージ
Feedback from the members - The design of the publication is good - if we interview each other it might be boring → I think it is interesting that we talk about how did I feel at that time in our honest words. image:        - we should put the video of interviews with mountain climbers.    → I think we can insert that in the part of "contents of the experiment". But I should think about more or other ideas...

For deciding "the key findings/ideas" We did some experiments and simulated mountaineering. In this experiment, I think there are some things that we can say for sure. 1. OREO that we had in hill climbing tasted better than usual.     - The interviewer also said that the meal he had in the mountains was delicious 2. Love for the mountain(hill) itself was born through the mountain(hill) climbing.      - On the final day, Gal wanted to pick up the trash We simulated mountaineering for the way of climbing the hill and added some elements to make it more real. I don't think we could completely reproduce it, and I think the actual mountain climbing would be more difficult and harsh. However, I'm sure I was interested in mountaineering, wanted to eat more delicious Oreo, and wanted to see a real mountain. What we have learned about mountaineering

I was filming the video on the last day of the experiment. I tried to shoot from various angles and summarized it as a memo. I found the garbage picking that Gal started to be very interesting. We took action on the final day. It felt like an act of love for mountains (here hills). I wondered if we could have liked the mountain itself through it, not just climbing it.

I recorded how many times did I look at the scenery during climbing the hill and drew it with a graphic image. I had seen the scenery 56 times during the 105 times up and down the hill, even though it was the scenery I had seen many times.

20.11_Sound ( process&method)

I collected the sounds on the way between my house and the park. MAP SINGING, GETTING REALLY CLOSE, SAMPLING I was unintentionally making music with a humming loop. I think it is linked to the monotonous task of walking. Can this loop be used as a keyword?

The tutors gave us some advice that it is good to add something to this experiment. Automatic Writing We started automatic writing before and after climbing the hill. The automatic writing in the shower room of Ash, a member of this group, was very interesting, so we imitated the method.    → Anna has put it together in the group's blog              https://project1-2group5.blogspot.com/2020/11/mont-blanc-simulation.html Wearing mask I started to wear a mask to simulate high altitude and low oxygen environment. Listening to music We tried to listen to dramatic music. How does it influence us? I repeated the same song "He's a Pirate", the soundtrack of the Pirates of the Caribbean. https://youtu.be/yRh-dzrI4Z4 it was good at the beginning but boring at the end. Also, this song made me think of the ocean, even though we were simulating the mountains. So I tried to make these videos. I think the dramatic music has certainly driven my walking. It...

18.11_Interview with Kensuke

  > Please introduce yourself. I’m Kensuke Suzuki, 28years old. I’m from Tokyo, Japan, and working at an advertising company called Dentsu. > Please tell me about your mountaineering. I have climbed Mt. Fuji only once as training for new employees of the company. It is a traditional event where there are nearly 300 Rookies and all of them climb Mt. Fuji. And it is a competition to decide the ranking of the person who can reach the summit earliest. When I reached the summit, a senior employee was waiting and he gave me a paper with my ranking written on it. This is a famous event that all clients and bosses know, and everyone is looking forward to it, except for the climbers themselves. In my case, I wrote hundreds of postcards to the business partners before the climbing and posted them to the post on the summit so that they could be delivered at a later date. I wrote "I have climbed Mt. Fuji!", and they saw it and praised me for doing my best. Also, the day before the ...

primary research_Requirements for Climbing Mont Blanc  I researched this with thinking that if I challenged to climb mont blanc. There are many options when deciding on equipment and routes, and I have to decide according to the mountain and the situation. It will also require experience. For equipment, I need special gear and clothing that is comfortable and durable. How can they be simulated? I also want to research training before climbing. individual experiment_modified high heels backward I thought that how can I simulate mountaineering on the flat road so that I made modified high heels backward using cardboard and tapes.  I wore these shoes and walked on the road for one and a half hours which about as long as going up and down the hill in the group experiment. - walking in these shoes on the flat road was easier than climbing the hill with normal boots. - After an hour and a half, my calves get tired. It's a different feeling of fatigue than when walking up and do...

13.11_Experiment of hill climbing(24/144times)

Today, I tried to do this experiment alone and at the night. I couldn't see anything in the dark and it was so dangerous.  I was only worried about the dog poop. What are the actual obstacles in the mountains? I also found a glass-like material being thrown away on the way to the park. This reminded me of a frozen snowy road. In addition,  I decided to personally record this experiment together in this way. I also need to think about how to record videos in the future. -What to record for what.

12.11 - Experiment of hill climbing(12/144times)

Today I started the experiment of hill climbing with a backpack filled with water bottles. It is approximately 7.5kg and it corresponds to "LIGHT WEIGHT(8~9kg)" of the definition of the BASE WEIGHT. I write down below ramblingly what I felt and thought. ----- The backpack is heavy and my shoulder hurts. I'm worried if the string will break. It's fun to talk to the members. The view from the top is beautiful. It's getting hot. There is dog poop. Watch out for the ground. If I look closely at the surface of this hill, there is a dent, and if I catch my foot there, I can easily climb it. It's heavy and hard to walk because I'm wearing boots, but how much does the actual mountain boots weigh? My back seems to hurt, but what kind of posture is appropriate for walking? I think I'm in a very forward-bent posture now. Oh, I've come to the front of the members. I prefer to follow from behind rather than walk in front.  I think that will keep me at my own pa...

10th.Nov I joined a research measuring the distance of Telegraph Hill due to simulating climbing Mont Blanc (4809 m). Anna said that we have to climb up 72 times up and down the hill. I feel this is interesting and we can gradually improve the accuracy of the simulation. 11th. Nov. I researched the equipment for mountaineering.  There are three ways to weigh the equipment. -BASE WEIGHT: Weight of backpack with equipment excluding water, food, and fuel. -PACK WEIGHT: The total weight of the backpack when you started the action. -SKINOUT WEIGHT: Weight of all equipment except your own weight. BASE WEIGHT is the most popular and there are definitions in it. ■SUB-ULTRA LIGHT…2~3kg ■ULTRA LIGHT…4~5kg ■LIGHT WEIGHT…8~9kg ■TRADITIONAL…16~20kg ( http://mountain-hiking.blogspot.com/2013/09/blog-post_22.html ) There was an article saying that 15kg is the best, but is this also applicable when climbing Mont Blanc? https://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk/the-15lb-base-weig...

9th November Square: Simulation 50 Most Prominent Peaks on Earth http://www.peaklist.org/WWlists/WorldTop50.html How to know more about mountaineering? CAPTURING EVEREST VR https://www.si.com/specials/everest-climb-virtual-reality/index.html TED TALK My mind-shifting Everest swim https://www.ted.com/talks/lewis_pugh_my_mind_shifting_everest_swim#t-191316 Now, I'm interested in what happens mentally and how harsh it is. (What is it like walking in the mountains? Slopes and uneven roads) We may be able to reproduce the clothes (equipment) and distance. Also, what kind of story will be born to people in mountain climbing? Communication in the mountain lodge. It may be good to watch a movie and refer to it. Is it possible to simulate the summit of Everest in various ways? Is it too big?  Mt. Fuji is famous in Japan, and many beginners try it. It might be nice to pick up such a mountain. Or we could pick up someone involved in mountaineering, such as a mountain rescue team or a famous m...
